Sew a swimming bag - Kids

Kids are often very good at the best bit of learning to sew. Having a go. So these school holidays, I’m giving them a sewing machine, some fabric to choose from and a swimming bag to make. I love watching a project become theirs as they go. Choosing the fabric they like, getting the hang of the machine, figuring things out and seeing it all start to come together. I’ll be there to help, of course, but I want them to be able to look at that finished bag and know how much of it they made themselves. And a swimming bag felt like a pretty good thing to make just as we’re heading towards summer.
